Launches new HR policy that extends paid maternity leave from three to six months

 

BENGALURU, INDIA- HARMAN International Industries, Incorporated (NYSE: HAR), the premier connected technologies company for automotive, consumer and enterprise markets, has announced a revised maternity policy for new mothers at HARMAN, which extends all benefits including paid leave, from existing three to six months.

 

The move is aimed at providing a secure, inclusive and productive work environment for the women workforce at HARMAN, which accounts for over 22 percent of the total employee base in India.

We encourage all colleagues to find a fine balance between a flourishing career and a blissful family life and the new policy is a step forward in this direction.” said Pradeep Chaudhry, Country Manager, HARMAN India. “There have been many instances when deserving women colleagues have received highest performance rating either during or right after their maternity period. We offer multiple support systems and programs to our people so they are cared for both professionally and personally.” he added.

The company is committed towards building an employee benefits package that caters to the diverse needs of its people.
