HARMAN Wins Two EISA “Best Product” Awards
The European Imaging and Sound Association (EISA), composed of 50 special interest magazines from 19 countries focusing on photography, A/V products, home theatres, and mobile devices, has recognized two HARMAN products with prestigious “Best Product” awards for 2010. HARMAN is pleased to announce that the Harman Kardon HKTS 60 home theatre speaker system and the JBL MS-8 car audio integration kit have been awarded best-in-class designation.
Every year, the EISA Awards applaud the newest products on the market that combine the most advanced technology, the most desirable features, the ultimate expression of design, the most satisfying ergonomics and the greatest value for their price. EISA awards are presented to products released in Europe within the past 12 months and deemed representative of their product category by a judging panel composed of editors of EISA-affiliated magazines specializing in that product division.
This 5.1 home theatre speaker system combines fine sound with stylish design, with each of the components making up this package boasting a luxurious, high gloss finish. The five satellite speakers convince with a clear, realistic and dynamic sound that ensures movie dialogue is easy to follow just as background detail is allowed to develop a tremendous sense of atmosphere. Rich in technology, the dual flat-panel midrange drivers in HK’s satellite and centre speakers reduce distortion and unwanted reflections. The subwoofer has adjustable volume and phase and includes an 8in driver and 200W-rated amplifier, delivering an impressively deep bass from such a compact cabinet.

The newest technology in OEM car audio integration, the MS-8 will accept speaker level signals from any OEM head unit including vehicles where traditional system building is next to impossible. The system employs smart features such as radio controlled remote control, auxiliary display and binaural microphone. It takes just 10 minutes for the built-in calibrator to automatically optimize crossover settings, frequency response and time alignment, providing a realistic soundstage to listeners in any seat of the vehicle. A sophisticated device for sophisticated vehicles.
